Daniel A. Sterling, MD, FACS

Dr. Daniel A. Sterling is a member of a select group of physicians double board certified by both the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Plastic Surgery. In addition, he is Chief of Plastic Surgery at Elliot Hospital and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He graduated from medical school with high honors and received numerous awards during residency including Resident of the Year and the Medical Staff President’s Award for Academic and Scholastic Excellence. 

In 2016, Dr. Sterling was voted by his peers as one of New Hampshire’s leading physicians in the field of plastic and reconstructive surgery, as reported by New Hampshire Magazine. As one of the best plastic surgeons in New Hampshire, Dr. Sterling has been serving the New England community from Manchester, New Hampshire since 2005. 

Dr. Sterling treats patients from all over New England including the northernmost parts of Maine, Vermont and New Hampshire, as well as Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Connecticut. He provides the entire spectrum of cosmetic surgery including breast augmentation, breast reduction, breast lift, abdominoplasty, liposuction, rhinoplasty and gynecomastia surgery to name a few. He is also recognized as one of the best plastic surgeons for cosmetic labiaplasty procedures in the northeast.

Dr. Sterling has a special interest in the treatment of massive weight loss patients, and is the premier surgeon for weight-loss surgery options in the state. Having performed many gastric bypass procedures during his training at The Hospital of St. Raphael, he has extensive experience in the care of bariatric patients. He regularly speaks at the bariatric support group meetings at The Dartmouth-Hitchcock Clinic in Manchester. He offers a wide range of procedures specifically indicated for massive weight loss patients including circumferential lower body lift, buttock lift, brachioplasty, mastopexy (breast lift).

For many years, Dr. Sterling has performed complex reconstruction for skin cancer patients with a special interest in malignant melanoma. His practice has now transitioned into 100% aesthetic surgery.

Dr. Sterling’s ongoing commitment to patient safety and satisfaction is evident in the personal attention and care he provides to each and every one of his patients. Staff

We are proud to have one of the best plastic surgery staffs in New England. The staff at Sterling Plastic Surgery includes Sara Charpentier, Office Manager, Krista Boyce, Medical Assistant, Ellen Wilson, CST/SFA, Denise O’Rourke, Bookkeeper, and Abbie Christie, Licensed Aesthetician. Most of the staff has worked with Dr. Sterling for years and are very experienced in the workings of a busy plastic surgery practice. In addition to being very personable, they have extensive knowledge of all of the procedures performed by Dr. Sterling.

Our staff works with our patients from initial consultation through long-term follow-up, and constantly strives to make your plastic surgery experience an enjoyable one. Each staff member will assist you in all facets of the consultation through your surgery, as well as scheduling, financing and preparing you for your day of surgery.
