Arm Lift

The number of patients seeking body contouring procedures has grown exponentially over the last decade as we have come to understand the effectiveness of bariatric surgery. One of the areas most commonly affected by massive weight loss is the upper arms, although genetics and aging can also result in the same problem.

Body Lift

Many terms are used to describe the surgical procedures that are performed for massive weight loss patients. The areas that are affected most often are the arms, breasts, abdomen, buttocks, thighs, face and neck. After a patient has reached a plateau in their weight loss, which usually occurs approximately 18 months after their bariatric procedure, they can begin to pursue body contouring.

Buttock Lift

One of the most popular procedures in our office represents one of the most common cosmetic complaints – the appearance of saggy or flabby buttocks. Many patients bemoan a flat buttock area and pants that no longer fit quite right, regardless of size.

Gynecomastia Treatment

Many men suffer from enlarged breasts, known medically as gynecomastia, but commonly known as “man boobs”. Gynecomastia can be caused by a variety of issues including genetic factors, hypogonadism, malnutrition, cirrhosis, or otherwise.

Fat Grafting

Dr. Sterling performs fat grafting for the cheeks, lower eyelids, nasolabial creases, hands and scar reconstruction. Fat grafting involves harvesting fat from one part of the body, purifying it, and carefully re-injecting it into the areas requiring augmentation.

Lower Body Lift

Lower body lifts, like extended abdominoplasties are procedures often used to tighten up the abdominal area of patients following massive weight loss. Unlike abdominoplasties, the lower body lift surgery also targets the buttocks and thighs. This is a circumferential surgery whereby an incision is made around the entire waistline.

Thigh Lift

Thigh lift surgery involves removing excess skin and fat to make the thighs more proportionate to the rest of the body. After the procedure, the thigh features smoother skin and a more youthful appearance. Thigh lifts are not a substitute for exercise or proper dieting.

Upper Body Lift

An upper body lift is, like its counterpart lower body lift, a procedure most often sought out after massive weight loss or bariatric surgery. The procedure treats saggy and loose skin on the upper arms, folds and rolls on the middle and upper back, and breast rolls.
